PAM: Bob, now that I know how to avoid catching this mean virus, what if this virus is so clever it can still contaminate me? How will I know?

BOB: There are well-known signs of contamination called symptoms. When you feel feverish, when you are hot, then cold, when you ache everywhere, when you feel really tired, when you have a headache or your throat is sore, when your nose is stuffed up…. Then, it’s possible that you caught the flu. It can start just like a simple cold.

PAM: And what am I supposed to do?

BOB: Tell an adult straight away, like your Mum or your Dad. Because it’s really important to be taken to the doctor immediately, so that he or she can prescribe medication. The more you wait, the more difficult it is to recover! And now, for a small quiz question: How do you know you’ve caught the flu?
- Because your toes hurt?
- Because you want to eat crisps?
- Because your feel feverish, as if you had a cold?

That’s not the right answer. Try again!

Well done!
