PAM: Bob, what are you supposed to do once you get sick with the flu?
BOB: You should take your medication, sleep and rest. And wait patiently to see your friends… but you can always call them.
PAM: But if I have the flu, I may give it to my parents, or even to you!
BOB: That’s the reason you’ll have to follow some more prevention rules.
Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze, preferably using a paper tissue.
Blow your nose with a tissue and use it also for spitting.
Wash your hands after coughing, sneezing, and spitting in a tissue.
Throw-out all the dirty tissues in a waste basket specially set aside.
And sometimes you will even have to wear a face mask to avoid spraying us with your virus!
PAM: Cool! Just like all the surgeons on TV!
BOB: Yes, that’s the idea, Pam! One last quiz question: What do you do when you’ve caught the flu?
Go the cinema with your friends?
Skip and eat candy?
Take medication until you feel better and follow more prevention rules?
That’s not the right answer. Try again!
Well done! That’s the right answer. Now you know all the basics in case of pandemic flu.
PAM: Ok, I will follow all of the prevention rules. And now, I also have a great excuse for not having to kiss Mrs. Michon!
